Day 1:
Depart from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv to Sheik Hussein Bridge. After border procedures, continue to Jerash for a visit to the preserved ruins of this great Roman City (approx. 2 hours); then proceed to Petra for dinner and overnight.
Day 2:
AM visit to Petra - "the Red Rose City", which was inhabited by the Nabateans, take a horse ride through the "Ciq" (Canyon), see the Pink Stone Treasury, the Roman Theatre and more (5-6hrs.[*]. Until maximum 2PM, leave Petra for the Sheik Hussein Bridge or Allenby border crossings and after completing border procedures, transfer to Tel Aviv or Jerusalem.
[*]Note: Guided tours at sights are approx. 2 hours, (balance at leisure).
